Received a generous donation :) It really makes my day.
It is from Radu Medan, check out his blog and website here, he even wrote a short blog post about this site so go check it out! Very nice animated favicon too :)

I've been rather busy lately with my own personal stuff, but I've been adding cities as people have been requesting them, this site has gotten a lot of good response! I'm surprised there are so many Family Guy fans out there!

The weather data issue is resolved for now, I'm staying with Yahoo! Weather feeds, however AccuWeather has been very kind to offer their services, and I may switch over when I find the time to work on this site some more. Thanks for all the support!<

Okay so the site seems to be functioning properly, I was in talks with Yahoo! about raising query limits but no luck there, I may have to search for another weather data provider. Anyway, this shouldn't affect browsing experience unless the site gets SUPER busy like it was yesterday. Since then its dropped to very manageable levels.

Also, added a little custom zipcode box to the front page (top right hand corner), its for those lazy people that don't read the FAQ for how to specify a custom city. For international cities, you can also enter a Yahoo! location id as explained in the F.A.Q.

Wow seems like we've been listed on CollegeHumor! Its one of my favourites sites to go to on the net. I've already been close to my maximum bandwidth of my server, but this recent surge of visitors is bringing it veryyy close to the edge. So I've been forced to come up with alternate sources of funding for bandwidth since donations are very slim... (no money goes into my pocket, I PROMISE).
Again, I'm still getting a lot of questions about custom cities, so please check out instructions on how to do it in the F.A.Q. before sending me an e-mail (although I do appreciate them).

Downtime: there was some downtime earlier this morning, we weren't getting feeds properly from Yahoo!. Hopefully the good people there aren't mad because I don't credit them because I've since added several links to their site. Here's another. PLEASE YAHOO! if you're reading this.. don't block my site!!
On another note, check out some random blog while this site is down

Wow a lot of updates today... but I had time so I implemented another popular request... ability to specify your OWN LOCATION! Makes it easy to add to a bookmark or whatnot, since it bypasses the IP database. The IP database is convenient, but lets face it, its pretty inaccurate sometimes.
Check out instructions on how to do it in the F.A.Q.

Forecast has been added! It doesn't look great right now.. but it should be functional, it will look better within a few days once I have more time to work on it.

May 23, 2006

Ok. I get about 20 e-mails a day... half of which is a request to add a city, and the other half is to request more details and an actual forecast. Well due to popular demand.. I will be implementing forecast details for the current day as well as the next day.

Be on the lookout for an updated version either today or tomorrow!

I've been getting a lot of questions about configuring TCP/IP settings. The "Did you check your TCP/IP settings?" message is merely a line from Ollie Williams, it does NOT mean that there is anything wrong with your TCP/IP settings (as explained in the FAQ). However, due to the amount of confusion, I have changed the error message to something less confusing (but not more meaningful hahah).

Due to an issue with the IP database, turns out 75% of US cities weren't getting proper data. It is now fixed, I believe 98% of US cities should now be displaying proper data (given that the IP is in the database).
